About the service

Clear river information, with its limits visible

One Mekong River Watch refurbishes MRC telemetry for fast mobile use. It does not replace official emergency instructions.

Authoritative source

Station identity, water level, rainfall, threshold stages and reported status are collected server-side from the Mekong River Commission telemetry service. Each page retains the source URL, observation time and retrieval time.

Freshness and no-data rules

Most MRC telemetry stations are expected every 15 minutes; Chinese stations are expected hourly. A late observation becomes Stale. A missing observation becomes No data. Neither condition is shown as Normal.

Status and thresholds

Alarm and Flood use the MRC-reported status and station thresholds. Where thresholds are unavailable, the station is shown as Not classified. The service does not invent a safe classification.

Limitations

Telemetry can fail, be delayed, or require later quality control. A station gauge represents conditions at that location. Flood impacts vary with terrain, drainage, infrastructure and local weather. Follow local authorities for evacuation and safety decisions.
